The trip to Penang was 4 days long because we had a layover in Chicago and the plane had major mechanical problems. The trip was fun and boring at the same time. The fun part was watching TV on the plane and going through time zones basically was travelling forward in time. The boring part was just sitting for many hours.
So far I've seen snow in Chicago, the Queen Elizabeth Islands from the plane, and slept in Hong Kong. We were so tired that we missed the 8 o'clock light show over the Hong Kong harbour. In Penang we got lost somewhere on the island and took the wrong road that took us over the longest bridge in South East Asia, which took us to mainland Malaysia
Penang is an island 8.3 km off the coast of mainland Malaysia. Our house has the view of a golf course. We saw monkeys on the golf course from the balcony. We also saw cows walking in the streets.
The local food is very very very very very disgusting! There is what I call "ice cubes in coconut milk with strawberry yucky." There is also little pieces of spicy chuncks of tiny poop looking things in the rice which,
